Paintings collection of Karlis Mudelis

The artistic funds of the museum are made up of the collections of paintings, drawings, sculptures, artistic glass a.o. Kārlis Mudelis’ (1904-1966) collection of the paintings is unique, from 1945 he lived in Daugavpils and worked in the School of Applied Arts. His creative work is an integral part of the spiritual heritage of the Latvian nation and it strikes by sincerity, deep understanding of nature, love for Motherland and refined colouring.
